The Summerset Sizzler is already a professional grill in every way. But to really take your grill over the top, you can upgrade this venerable grill chassis to a PRO model. The first thing you will notice is the LED lights. True, the blue dial lights might be a bit gimmicky, but the interior lights are a real help when grilling after dark. You may think your patio is well lit, but often, the lights don’t make it under your grill hood and onto the food. Add this shadow effect with the backlight of the fire, and your food looks like silhouettes. Therefore, the light option really comes in handy in most yards. The only drawback to the lights is they take AC electrical power. They do NOT run on batteries as the interior lights are halogen to take the heat. Running electrical cables can be a small hassle or expense. But running underground wire is way easier than adding plumbing for an outdoor kitchen. (Don’t get me started on the cost and maintenance of getting water to the sink AND out the drain!) But once you run the wire, you will have a place to plug in other appliances or a rotisserie!

The lights may seem impressive, but the real power comes from the upgraded burners and heat zone separators. True, the standard burners are great, but the upgraded cast stainless burners are more robust and throw out more BTUs. And since this four-burner grill is so large, you can easily take advantage of the heat zones to fine-tune your heat for different foods. Or, you can add a searing infra-red burner or a griddle semi-permanently to a burner spot and still have tons of traditional grill space.
