Built-In Seat Walls Makes Your Patio Feel Finished

Stone seat walls are one of the simplest ways to make an outdoor space feel more complete. They define the edge of a patio, create casual built-in seating, and help shape an open hardscape into something that feels more like an outdoor room.
Our standalone seat wall kits are designed for patios, outdoor fireplaces, gardens, walkways, and outdoor kitchens where you want permanent masonry seating without adding a fire pit. Each kit includes matching wall block, seat wall caps, and finished end piers with natural limestone caps for a polished, built-in look.

Choose Your Stone Seat Wall Kit

Configure your Stone seat wall kit in at least three different ways

Grange 12′ Configurable Stone Seat Wall Kit

A compact stone seat wall kit for patios, fireplaces, garden spaces, and smaller outdoor rooms. Build it as one continuous wall, split it into two sections, or configure it as a symmetrical corner layout with two equal 6′ legs. Size does not include piers.

Configure your 18 foot Stone seat wall kit in at least three different ways

Grangefield 18′ Configurable Stone Seat Wall Kit

A larger stone seat wall kit for more generous patios, outdoor living areas, and fireplace seating spaces. Build it straight, split it into two larger sections, or configure it as a symmetrical corner layout with two equal 9′ legs. Size does not include piers.

One Kit, Three Standard Layouts

Each seat wall kit is built around a simple idea: choose your total wall length, then arrange it in the layout that fits your outdoor space.

Split Seat Wall Pair

Split Seat Wall Pair

Split the kit into two balanced wall sections. This layout works well for flanking an outdoor fireplace, framing a walkway, defining both sides of a garden feature, or adding seating without closing in the space.

Straight Seat Wall With Piers

Straight Seat Wall

Use the full kit as one continuous wall to define a patio edge, back a dining area, frame an outdoor living space, or create clean built-in seating along a hardscape boundary.

Symmetrical Corner Seat Wall

Corner Seat Wall

Create a more enclosed, room-like layout with two equal wall runs from the front center point. The corner layout is ideal when you want a stronger sense of structure, privacy, and gathering space without adding a fire pit.

Additional matching wall block may be available in half-pallet quantities for expanded layouts or field adjustments. Standard drawings apply to the straight, split, and symmetrical corner layouts shown.

More Than Just Seating– Define Your Outdoor Space

Seat Walls add functional architectural form and boundaries to your outdoor living area

Where Seat Walls Work Best

Around an Outdoor Fireplace

Seat walls help frame the fireplace area and create a natural gathering zone without relying entirely on chairs and loose furniture.

Along a Patio Edge

Use a straight wall to give your patio a finished boundary while adding casual seating for guests.

Beside an Outdoor Kitchen

A seat wall can define the edge of a cooking, dining, or bar area while giving people a place to gather near the action.

Attached to Your Home

Split walls coming from your house can frame your patio, a planting bed, or garden feature while adding structure and charm.

Around an Outdoor Living Room

Use a corner layout to create a more enclosed seating area that feels grounded, comfortable, and designed on purpose.

Common Questions About Stone Seat Wall Kits

Can the same kit be built in different layouts?

Yes. Each kit can be built in one of three standard configurations: straight, split, or symmetrical corner.

What is included with each kit?

Each kit includes the wall materials, matching seat wall caps, and finished masonry piers with natural limestone caps. Product pages include the specific dimensions and included components for each kit size.

What is the difference between Grange and Grangefield?

Grange is the 12′ seat wall kit. Grangefield is the larger 18′ seat wall kit. Both kits offer the same three standard layout options.

Can I build a custom layout?

The standard drawings cover the straight, split, and symmetrical corner configurations. Additional matching wall block may be available for expanded layouts or field adjustments, but custom layouts require additional planning.

Are these retaining walls?

No. These kits are designed as freestanding seat walls for built-in seating, patio definition, and outdoor room structure. They are not engineered retaining walls.

Do I need mortar?

No mortar is required for the standard layouts. The kits use Cornerstone’s modular stack-and-glue masonry system.

Where can I use a stone seat wall?

Seat walls work well along patio edges, around outdoor fireplaces, beside outdoor kitchens, near garden paths, around walkways, and in outdoor living spaces where you want built-in seating and structure.
