Do you live in an urban area or have a small backyard or patio? The Ashford small outdoor fireplace is our most compact design. Although this fireplace features a small footprint, it is still a BIG backyard upgrade. This small fireplace kit can handle full-size logs and outdoor wood-burning fires despite its space-saving size. You don’t have to settle for a chimenea or be jealous of people with large sprawling patios. Now you can have a proper masonry wood-fired outdoor fireplace in a small space. This wood-burning fireplace kit is smaller than our other DIY outdoor kits. It still includes everything you need to enjoy relaxing around the fire. Please be aware that YOU CAN NOT UPGRADE TO WOOD BOXES LATER. Wood boxes are integrated into the Ashford fireplace to help keep its footprint small. You can only add wood boxes at the time of purchase.  Though over 95% of people determine their options at their initial purchase, you can upgrade your Ashford fireplace with wing walls later, as they are not integrated into the fireplace structure.

The design balances scale with impact—large enough to feel substantial, yet compact enough to tuck neatly into a corner or patio edge without overwhelming the space.

Like all of our kits, the Ashford is built on our specialized block system, meaning no mortar mess, no special tools, and no need to hire a mason. Each piece is engineered to lock together for a straightforward build you can complete in a weekend. Once finished, you’ll have a solid, real-stone fireplace that stands up to weather and time—bringing lasting value and enjoyment year after year.

**The Ashford is available as the fireplace alone or with a single integrated firewood storage box (right or left side). If you’d like more storage, the Ashford Deluxe offers a double-box layout on its own page. Because the wood boxes are built directly into the fireplace, they must be ordered with your kit at the start.**
