Product Overview

The Unity Z Pier is a minimal pizza oven pedestal designed for maximum flexibility in outdoor layouts. It provides a clean, elevated masonry base for pizza ovens—especially gas or electric models—without committing space to wood storage or surrounding prep areas. This makes it a strong fit for tight patios, secondary cooking zones, or projects where the oven is paired with an existing fireplace or kitchen.

At its core is a limestone oven pad sized to support a wide range of pizza ovens, along with a built-in tool niche for peels and accessories. The Unity Z Pier works as a standalone feature or as a simple addition to larger outdoor living spaces where the oven needs a proper, permanent foundation without visual or physical bulk.

Key Features

  • Sized pizza oven platform – Limestone pad measures 34″ × 34″ nominal (33-5/8″ actual) to accommodate many popular pizza ovens
  • Minimal footprint – Designed for tight spaces and layouts that don’t require wood storage or prep counters
  • Built-in tool niche – Keeps peels and accessories close without expanding the module size
  • Flexible placement – Works as a standalone oven base or alongside fireplaces and existing kitchens
  • Solid masonry construction – Built from durable, heat-resistant block materials for long-term outdoor use
  • DIY-friendly assembly – No cutting, mortar, or special tools required

Is the Unity Z Pier Right For Your Space?

The Unity Z Pier is the most minimal way to add a pizza oven to a Unity layout. It’s designed as a clean, elevated pedestal with a substantial stone top and a built-in niche for tools—without committing space to wood storage or a larger oven module footprint.

This module makes the most sense for electric pizza ovens, for kitchens that already have storage handled elsewhere, or for projects where the oven is meant to be a simple “feature station” rather than a full live-fire setup. If you want the look and function of a dedicated oven base while keeping the layout light and intentional, the Z Pier tends to fit naturally.

Compact and Specialized

Unity ZP is almost exclusively used in kitchen islands connected to fireplaces. This allows you to use the wood boxes of your fireplace to store wood instead of a Unity Pizza module with attached wood storage. While the Unity ZP can be used in kitchen-only setups, it works best with large kitchens with ample existing counterspace that don’t need wood storage. Unity ZP cannot be connected to a corner module.

Grill & Appliance Compatibility

The Unity Z Pier is a dedicated pedestal module intended for pizza ovens—especially electric models—or any oven where you want a stable, elevated stone surface without built-in wood storage. The top surface and overall geometry are designed to create a clean, finished installation that feels permanent and purpose-built.

Because pizza ovens vary widely in footprint and venting requirements, compatibility is determined by dimensions. Customers can supply their own oven when measurements are confirmed, or source a compatible option through Cornerstone to remove uncertainty and simplify planning.

Other appliances remain flexible within the Unity system:

  • The Unity Z Pier is intended for pizza ovens, with a strong fit for electric ovens

  • Wood-fired pizza ovens are often better served by Unity Z, Z Minus, or Z Plus modules when fuel storage is part of the plan

  • Built-in gas grills and Kamados are best matched to their dedicated Unity modules

The goal is simple: give the oven a proper home in the layout—without adding extra mass or storage you don’t want.
